Ladies First Retirement: Empowering women for a confident retirement

At BrightPath Wealth Management, we understand many women will take on the role of the primary financial decision-maker at some point in their lives—95% of women, in fact1.

Our Ladies First Retirement program is designed specifically to help you navigate any complexities that may come along side of retirement with confidence. We know traditional financial seminars may often miss key pieces of the puzzle, which is why we focus on creating an authentic and supportive space where women can connect and learn.

Our women-only events offer a relaxed atmosphere featuring insightful conversations on retirement planning. We’ll cover topics that matter most to you, including Social Security taxes, hybrid long-term care, lifetime income, and accumulation vehicles, with special attention to unique challenges women face. Whether it’s preparing for an income gap or understanding tax implications, Ladies First Retirement is here to help you create a roadmap for a purposeful and fulfilling retirement journey.

Women are NOT a niche market.

Let’s get one thing out of the way right up front… Contrary to what the general financial industry would have you believe, women are not a niche market. They are THE market. It’s time we stop treating women’s financial challenges as one-offs.

60%

of all personal wealth in the United States is controlled by women.

40%

of women out earn their husbands.

67%

of women invest outside of their retirement accounts,

 up from 44% in 2018.

85%

of U.S. consumer spending is controlled or influenced by women.

Matthew Schuller

President & Founder of BrightPath Wealth Management

Matthew is committed to helping women understand how their money is working for them. Inspired by his highly educated mother—a schoolteacher who was often overlooked by male advisors—Matthew made it his mission to empower women through financial education. He is a fiduciary who takes this responsibility seriously, ensuring his clients, especially women, are fully informed about their wealth management. Matthew is also a published author for Kiplinger and often emphasizes that most people have a product, not a plan. When you work with Matthew, you’ll see how he creates a plan that genuinely addresses individual financial concerns, particularly those unique to women.

Robin Hofheinz

Guiding women to financial empowerment: Robin’s journey of service and expertise.

Robin Hofheinz brings 20 years of experience from the investment, insurance, banking, and legal fields. Robin is driven by a commitment to service, instilled during her West Texas childhood by her minister/professor father and social justice activist mother. Raised in a community where a handshake and a verbal commitment held as much weight as any written contract, Robin learned early the values of trust and integrity. An orphan by the age of eleven, Robin had already received the moral anchors that would guide her through a life dedicated to service.

Robin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Mills College in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she lived for nearly two decades. After the loss of her husband to lung cancer in 2002, Robin found herself re-evaluating her life’s purpose. In the years that followed, she realized her experiences had uniquely equipped her to guide others, particularly women, through the financial risks, twists, and turns on life’s ever-changing path.

Recognizing unique financial challenges women face—including career breaks for caregiving, longer life expectancies, and specific retirement needs—Robin is deeply attuned to female-centric investment strategies and risk tolerance. Many women feel more comfortable discussing personal financial matters with her, fostering an atmosphere of confidence and understanding. Her personal mission emphasizes financial independence and empowerment, encouraging women to take control of their financial futures.

In founding the Retirement Freedom Team, Robin sought to provide solid financial support for hard-working people from all walks of life. She’s dedicated to making complex financial information accessible and understandable, quickly earning a reputation for clarity and empathy. Today, she remains committed to helping baby boomers and younger generations alike achieve financial stability through customized advice that resonates with their priorities and values.
